Buyers lie to salespeople. It's a harsh truth.

But many times, it's not because they are trying to be devious.

It's a protection mechanism to guard themselves against being manipulated by unsavory salespeople.

Be diligent about recognizing lies and addressing them in a nurturing manner.

Rather than aggressively "calling out" lies, seek to understand their motivation and then deal with the truth.
